I sit.
I see mind release
to landscapes
each leaf.

I know this is
as good as any home.
Maple so golden
by autumn it has become
a sun of its own.

As if ascending
some castle stair
from around a blind bend
I stood at the top
of the knoll blooming
like pure land.

The thousand passers
in the distance along
the howling highway
heading to other
loud gray roads.
